The same way you can't turn off any of your senses. You can just, you know, redirect. I am not listening to what you're thinking, it's my background noise that I am ignoring, basically.
I guess, but also, add empathy to it. I can also feel everything. I could smell what you do, feel your feelings, see through your eyes, feel your heartbeat, and all that great stuff. Your brain does and processes it, I can tap and do it.
